Dosage Calculator Disclaimer The dosage calculator is only to be used with USA FDA-approved products. DENTSPLY Pharmaceutical has used the following formula as the basis for the dosage calculator. Patient weight (lbs) X Maximum Recommended Dose per lb (or dose range per lb) This formula is taken directly from the prescribing information available for the 4% Citanest® DENTAL and 2% Xylocaine® DENTAL families of products and 3% Polocaine® DENTAL. The calculations available through this dosage calculator are for “healthy” (as determined by the dental professional) individuals. DENTSPLY Pharmaceutical did not conduct testing to establish the values as determined by this calculation. When treating patients, it is the responsibility of the dental professional to consult the package insert for the maximum recommended dose and recommended use of each individual injectable anesthetic drug. |
